My variation is based off a Libyan specialty – Mbattan! Think of a fried potato sandwich with meat stuffed in between. I can’t decide if this is a favorite of mind because of the crispiness or because of the flavorful herb and spiced minced meat filling.
Hyderabadi Biriyani is one of the most popular biriyani dishes throughout India! The perfectly cooked basmati rice is coated with the aromatic and delicious masala which is slow cooked on dum in which all the flavors are tightly packed in itself.
Mutton Karai served with garlic naan, salad & carrot pickle. I am not a huge fan of mutton as my boys prefer chicken. Since they had mutton biryani & a lamb bunny chow, they have taken a liking to mutton.
This seekh kebab biryani is spicy and ticks all the boxes of flavor. I am saying from experience, leftovers taste even better when warmed up the next day. A modern twist to the traditional Hyderabadi ‘dum’ biryani.
