A comfort food that most of us adore equally may be the great BIRIYANI! Hehe! This is my first biriyani post on the blog. Yes i have some rice recipes but biriyani for the first time.

Aloo Matar Ki Tehri (Potato & Peas Pulao)

A traditional style of making Potato and Peas Pulao with few spices but with loads of flavors ideal to be served with any curry.

Fish Rice

This is such a flavorful rice with fried and boiled fish served on top. For this rice we all prefer the boiled fish more than fried one.

Kabseh (Middle Eastern Rice Dish)

Bibimbap is a Korean dish of rice, vegetables and a spicy sauce. A protein like mince is added as well as a fried or raw egg. Everything is assembled in a bowl and mixed through before eating.

A light and fluffy lemon rice that pairs perfectly with any seafood dish and could be enjoyed on its own as well.

Rice Salad

A perfect dish to be served as s side or as a snack on its own, makes for a lovely light meal.

Mushroom and Onion Rice

A delicious, hearty meal that can be prepared in under an hour. A dish that’s ideal for midweek on the dinner table.

Baked Maaloube

Maaloube is next level. Maaloube (or upside down rice) is a popular Middle Eastern rice dish which is filled with cauliflower and eggplant.

Za’atar Chickpeas and Rice with Jajik

So this particular meal is pretty infinitely customizable, and it will change a lot depending on how you make (or buy) your jajik and za’atar. But don’t worry, you kind of can’t go wrong.

Green Akhni

Yet another take on this humble dish of curry and rice steamed together amd made even more delicious served with papads, spiced sourmilk and salads.

Brown Rice Salad with Basil Pesto

 A big plus to this dish is  that basil is rich in antioxidants, making this a fantastic dish to enjoy.

Gujarat is known for its many snacks, but this is a treat to the palate even while being friendly to the stomach! This steamed rice flour street food is very famous in Gujarat.

Peri Peri Spicy Rice

This dish can be served as a side dish or as a starter. It is very tasty and best served hot.

This is one of my absolute favourite dishes, and as a child my mom would make this special for me. This recipe is hers and today was a team effort, I made the Savoury Rice and she made the Curry Kitchri.

There are many version of zarda depending on the region. Like in Iran rose water & saffron are the main flavors. While in mid-east you will find it flavored with Orange Blossom water & orange or lemon zest.

Vegetable Biryani

There are some dishes which do not require any explanation. Biryani is one of them. Dig in with your hands and just enjoy.

Palak Pulao / Spinach Pulao

Palak Pulao/Spinach Pulao is a one pot meal. Served with plain buttermilk. Palak Pulao is packed with nutrients and serves as delicious meal in a hurry.
